Dear Friends of OC Ministries,

We are thankful at this time of the year for the many blessings again showered upon OC Ministries by you and many others.  The impact that is made in the Caribbean and West Africa is important.  Children and their families were enriched this year in Browns Town and Stewart Town, Jamaica … Ganta, Monrovia and Paynesville, Liberia … and Kabala, Lunsar, Makeni, Moyamba and Rotifunk, Sierra Leone as we continue to minister in body, mind and spirit in this, our twenty-fourth year.

It has been a fruitful and busy one for us.  We have:

  • Raised over $150k for construction projects, work teams, student scholarships and shipping.
  • Sent forty-three people on work teams to four sites.
  • Sent 40,000 meals from Feed My Starving Children to West Africa
  • Planted avocados in Jamaica for self-sustaining agricultural ministries.
  • Finished a primary school in Kabala, Sierra Leone and laid plans for one in Masorie Mile 91.
  • Distributed 4,000 pairs of glasses to residents in Jamaica
  • Formed a new partnership with Reverend Judith Banya in Sierra Leone.
  • Itinerated Reverend Athlone Harrison (from Jamaica) throughout MN for two weeks in August.
  • Built a playground at Ebenezer Basic School in Bamboo, Jamaica
  • Committed to partial salary support in Sierra Leone to Reverend Mariama Bockari, District Superintendent of the Northern District and Kip and Nancy Robinson, in-country coordinators.

God has been a work through people like you and your amazing generosity.  With your help we look forward to 2014 with great anticipation.  God is Good!  All the Time!!

In Partnership,

Lyndy Zabel, chair
